Wednesday is box morning
Small, Family or Organic, all delivered Wednesday between 8 and 11 am. Pause by 8 pm on Monday if the week changes. Most households here take the Family or the Organic box rather than the Small.
Three mornings a week out along the Villianur road, in the later 8–11 am window — large households, bulk staples and the highest proportion of organic orders outside Auroville.
In short
Reddiyarpalayam, the Mudaliarpet side and Indira Nagar are on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday route, delivered 8–11 am with an 8 pm cutoff. Box morning is Wednesday. The household minimum is ₹300 and delivery is free above ₹500. This zone takes more 5 kg staple packs than any other.

Reddiyarpalayam sits southwest of the town centre where the built-up area gives way to the Villianur road, and the zone takes in the Reddiyarpalayam residential blocks, the Mudaliarpet side, Indira Nagar and the housing that has grown along the arterial road in both directions. It is a spread-out zone of individual houses with compounds and newer apartment blocks, which is exactly why it gets a three-hour window running later than the old town's.
The zone is also where Puducherry's zero-waste and refill shopping happens — the Eco-Indian Zero Waste Store is here, and if unpackaged staples and a refill model are what you want, that shop does something we do not. We deliver in packs; they let you bring your own container. Those are different things and both have a place.
Bahour and Kirumampakkam, further south, are served as extensions of this zone and the Thavalakuppam run on their respective mornings. If you are out that way, give us your nearest landmark and we will tell you which morning reaches you.
Two patterns dominate here and they are quite different from the inner town.
Bulk staples. This zone takes more 5 kg rice and millet packs, more litre bottles of cold-pressed oil and more dhal by the kilo than anywhere else on the route. Households here have storage space and buy on a monthly rhythm rather than a weekly one. The sensible pattern, which plenty of customers here already run, is a monthly pantry delivery on a Wednesday alongside the box.
Organic, at a surprising rate. Outside Auroville, Reddiyarpalayam takes the highest proportion of organic-tier orders on the route — certified greens, farm-declared natural vegetables and organic staples. We suspect that is the same instinct that keeps a zero-waste store viable here. The Organic Box at ₹1,299 lands on Wednesday mornings.
The zone is light on exotics, light on pre-arrival stocking and light on seafood, which between them tell you it is a zone of people who cook at home most nights and plan the week rather than the evening.
Small, Family or Organic, all delivered Wednesday between 8 and 11 am. Pause by 8 pm on Monday if the week changes. Most households here take the Family or the Organic box rather than the Small.
Rice, millets, dhal, cold-pressed oil, jaggery in 5 kg packs on a fixed monthly morning. Staples keep six months in steel; there is no reason to buy them weekly, and the pack rate is better.
The certified and farm-declared natural lines reach this zone on the same Monday, Wednesday and Friday run. No trip to Auroville, no Aurocard, and the farm is named on each bag.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, in the 8 to 11 am window, with the cutoff at 8 pm the evening before. The same three mornings cover the Mudaliarpet side, Indira Nagar and the housing along the Villianur road.
Geography, not priority. The van clears the dense inner-town zones first, where thirty drops fit into two hours because the addresses are minutes apart. Out here the same thirty drops take three hours, so the window opens an hour later and closes an hour later.
Yes, on all three route mornings, with the certified or farm-declared natural tier and the farm name printed on each bag. Outside Auroville, this zone takes the highest proportion of organic orders on the whole route, and the Organic Box at ₹1,299 arrives on Wednesdays.
They are served as extensions of this zone and the Thavalakuppam run on their respective mornings, rather than as zones of their own. Tell us your nearest landmark and we will confirm which morning reaches you before you plan an order around it.
Rice, millets, dhal, oil and jaggery come in 1 kg, 5 kg and 25 kg packs, and most households in this zone take a monthly pantry delivery on a Wednesday alongside the box. A 25 kg sack is priced on the trade list even for a household, because that is what it costs us to move.
On route days only. An order placed before 11 am on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday can join the 4 to 7 pm top-up run. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday the van is in the north and east of the city and does not come this way.
