White Town
The French Quarter grid between the Promenade and the canal — Goubert Avenue, Rue Dumas, Rue Suffren, Rue Romain Rolland. Heaviest zone for exotics, salad and villa stocking, lightest for sacks of rice.
Twelve zones, six mornings a week, one 8 pm cutoff. Find your locality, note the day, and you never have to ask whether we deliver to you again.
In short
PondeFresh delivers to 12 zones across Puducherry city, the Auroville bioregion, Kottakuppam and Karaikal, six mornings a week. The cutoff is 8 pm the evening before your zone's route day, windows are 7–10 am or 8–11 am, the household minimum is ₹300 and delivery is free above ₹500.
Reviewed 20 September 2026 · the route table is reviewed monthly; a zone's days change only with two weeks' notice
The table nobody else in this market publishes. Lit letters are the mornings we are in your zone; every one of them takes an 8 pm cutoff the evening before.

The zones are not administrative boundaries and they do not follow the commune panchayat lines. They follow what a van can do in a morning.
The four inner-town zones — White Town, Heritage Town, Muthialpet and the Saram-Thilaspet strip — are dense, short-drop areas where thirty deliveries fit inside a 7 to 10 am window because the addresses are minutes apart. The western zones, Reddiyarpalayam, Moolakulam and Villianur, are spread out along arterial roads, so they take the later 8 to 11 am window and fewer days. Ariyankuppam and Thavalakuppam run south along the Cuddalore road on the same pair of mornings, because the harbour trip already takes the van in that direction at 6 am.
Auroville and Kottakuppam get the early window despite being the furthest inner zone from the packing table, for one reason: the guest houses and community kitchens there start service earlier than a town household wakes up, and the bioregion farms are on the way back anyway.
Karaikal is a separate proposition. It is roughly 140 km away, in the other part of the Union Territory entirely, and it gets one van on a Saturday with a Thursday cutoff, a ₹1,500 minimum and a ₹120 charge. We are open about the fact that this run only works as a scheduled weekly order; a ₹400 Saturday impulse order to Karaikal is not something we can do.
Each of these names the streets and landmarks we actually deliver to, the route mornings and what that locality orders most.
The French Quarter grid between the Promenade and the canal — Goubert Avenue, Rue Dumas, Rue Suffren, Rue Romain Rolland. Heaviest zone for exotics, salad and villa stocking, lightest for sacks of rice.
Kuilapalayam, Edayanchavadi, Kottakarai, the Kottakuppam side of the ECR and the residential communities. The organic route, and the one that needs no Aurocard.
Lawspet, Anna Nagar, Thattanchavady and the Kalapet side towards the university. Family households, milk lines and the Family Box.
Reddiyarpalayam, the Mudaliarpet side and Indira Nagar, out along the Villianur road. Zero-waste shoppers, large households, weekly staples.
Villianur town, the Thirukameswarar temple side and Mouroungapakkam. Half our vegetables are grown within a few kilometres of this zone.
Ariyankuppam, Thengaithittu, Veerampattinam and the Arikamedu side of the river. The harbour is in this zone, which changes what people here buy from us.
Muthialpet, Kuruchikuppam, Vaithikuppam and Solai Nagar, north of the old town. Dense streets, early drops, heavy on fish and everyday vegetables.
The Saturday run, 140 km south in the other district of the Union Territory. Scheduled weekly orders only, ₹1,500 minimum, Thursday cutoff.
The old Tamil Quarter west of the canal — Mission Street, Nehru Street, Bussy Street and Ambour Salai, a five-minute walk from Grand Bazaar. The standing-order and specialist-line zone.
The spread-out west — Pillaithottam, Indira Nagar and the Villianur-road streets. Bigger homes and bigger baskets, so the Family Box and 5 kg staple packs do the work here.
South on the Cuddalore road to the Kirumampakkam edge — the last zone before the district line, closest to the harbour and the coconut belt. The day-boat fish zone.
Covered on the route table above and served on the same terms as the zones with their own pages. If you are here and want the street-level detail, ask on WhatsApp and we will send it.
If your locality appears in the route table above, yes, on the lit mornings. That covers 12 zones from White Town to Karaikal, including Auroville, Kottakuppam, Villianur and Ariyankuppam. Zone edges are fuzzy, so if you are just outside one, send your nearest landmark and we will tell you honestly.
Free on orders of ₹500 and above inside Puducherry city, Auroville and Kottakuppam. Below ₹500 there is a flat ₹40 charge and a ₹300 household minimum. Karaikal is different: ₹120 delivery and a ₹1,500 minimum, because it is a 140 km Saturday run.
8 pm the evening before your zone's route day for groceries, produce and dairy, and 6 pm for seafood because the boats decide what can be promised. On a day we are already in your zone, an order placed before 11 am can usually join the 4–7 pm top-up run.
You get a three-hour window — 7–10 am or 8–11 am depending on the zone — rather than a fixed hour, because one long drop moves everyone behind it. Kitchens and guest houses are dropped first, between 6.45 and 8 am. A fixed-hour delivery outside the window can be arranged for ₹250 with 48 hours' notice.
Yes, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings in the 7–10 am window, to Auroville, Kuilapalayam, Edayanchavadi, Kottakarai, Kottakuppam, Periyamudaliarchavadi and Bommayapalayam. No Aurocard and no membership is required, which is the main practical difference from the bioregion's own outlets.
Between two and four mornings a week depending on the zone. Inner-town zones like White Town and Saram get four; Muthialpet, Lawspet and Auroville get three; Reddiyarpalayam and Moolakulam get three; Villianur, Ariyankuppam and Thavalakuppam get two; Karaikal gets one.
It is about 140 km away, in the other district of the Union Territory, and one van goes there on a Saturday. That trip only works against scheduled orders, so it carries a ₹1,500 minimum, a ₹120 delivery charge and a Thursday 8 pm cutoff. A small last-minute Karaikal order is something we genuinely cannot do.
When about fifteen households in one locality are waiting, a run becomes viable. Cuddalore, Villupuram and Marakkanam are the three we are watching. Tell us your locality and it counts as a vote; in the meantime, rice, millets and oils ship there by courier in three to five days.
